Tuition fees at SMU are highly subsidised by the Singapore Government through the Tuition Grant Scheme. To qualify for the subsidised tuition fees, students would need to be eligible for the Tuition Grant.

The subsidised fees for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents shown are without GST which is separately subsidised by the Singapore Government. The subsidised fees for International Students and non-subsidised fees are inclusive of GST.

Tuition fees may change from year to year for each new incoming cohort. However, students enrolled in AY2017/18 will pay fixed fees throughout the normal duration of studies (4 years duration) i.e. this cohort will not be subjected to further fee increases during this period for the Regular Terms.
Current SMU students will not be affected by the AY 2017/18 fees as they will continue to pay the fees that applied to their respective cohort year.
AY 2017/18 entering freshmen who are not eligible for or choose not to apply for the Singapore Government Tuition Grant are required to pay the non-subsidised fees mentioned above.
每年的新生需要缴纳的学费都会有变化。然而,于2017-2018学年度入学的学生在本科期间的学费不会变化。在正常的学期下,这批学生不需要再缴纳其余的费用。2017-2018学费新政策不适用于在读学生,他们将继续按照之前的费用政策交费。不符合新加坡政府助学金计划要求的学生以及自愿放弃申请该计划的新生需要付全额学费(详情见上表)。
National Servicemen, whose enrolment into university is delayed due to their national service obligations in Singapore will pay the relevant tuition fees in the year of application and offer.

Students who are Singapore Citizens (including those holding Government scholarships) are required to sign a Declaration for Tuition Grant Eligibility form to facilitate SMU's assessment of their eligibility for the Tuition Grant to be eligible for subsidised tuition fees. Students who are found not to be eligible for the Tuition Grant will be charged the non-subsidised tuition fees.
是本国公民的学生(包括享有政府奖学金的学生)需要在助学金资格声明表上签名,以便学校鉴定他们是否真正拥有申请助学金的资格。学生一旦发现不合格,须缴纳全额无补贴学费。
Permanent Residents and International Students who are eligible for and intend to take up the Tuition Grant must apply for the Tuition Grant Scheme. Those eligible must sign a Tuition Grant Agreement, which will require them to work in Singapore-based companies for 3 years upon graduation from SMU. Those who are not eligible, or choose not to apply for the grant, are required to pay the non-subsidised fees. The latter will not be bound by the 3-year work obligation.
有资格且有意享受国家助学金的永久性居民和国际学生需要向政府助学金计划提出申请,且必须与政府签订助学金协议,保证从本校毕业后在新加坡境内的公司工作三年。不合格或无意申请助学金的学生须支付全额学费,且不受工作限制。
